Whats it like? 2017 new year in HKG !!!

Japanese families spend new years time especially with their family.
On top of that, one of our family traditions is to eat a buffet dinner at an hotel and/or go to a trip.
I feel many others also enjoy their new years eve, day this way also.
Before going into my long food report, I want to say that...
luckily infront of our hotel, was the labor (river) so just by standing
there we can all see the fireworks clearly!!

10,9,8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1...
The count down voice was faint
because we were far away from the actual firework sight
but at the distant hotel.
However, with the other tens of people from the hotel, we called out the numbers
both in Chinese and English and screamed out our
new year calls !!!
新年快樂is the word for Happy new year,
but unfortunately I did not hear this a lot.
I think it is because the real lunar new year is not yet in HKG nor China.
Moving on to my food report of new years eve !>>>
I reserved THE MARKET @ icon hotel
Why?? because all the other hotels were fully reserved already (I was too late!)
I used the website called TripAdvisor and it gives the ranking, comments etc.
in 25 languages !! which is extremely useful when you're lost.
I didnt have high expectations from the beginning,
and I think thats one reason why I was satisfied even more.
The food variety, interior, set-up (party hats etc., crackers, bells, and sparkling wine).
Taste wise, some seafood were normal....
but the Foie Gras was nice, the fruits tasted good, and one of the fish and deserts.

My stomach fulfilled, and the joy through spending time with family seeing fireworks made up a lovely coming year !

I want to continue recording my feelings and findings
as usual on this blog, notebook;
Read 300-365 books;
Make a healthy habit (full marathon, diet);
Achieve aimed proficiency test scores
for English, Mandarin, and Korean;
Succeed my mini projects(radio exercise, newspaper, cleaning);
and more !!

making specific achievable aims are affective
because you subconsciously do it !
If you're not that person who plans every year that might be a new thing to try !
Or, maybe you like living the moment rather than plan too much ahead,
I believe no correct answer but you make your own decisions.
