日帰りマカオ Afternoon trip to MACAO

Monday 13 May was a national holiday following Buddha's birthday,

so it was a day off (school) in Hong Kong. 

After finishing off my exam, I went to see my friend who studies/lives in Macao!!!

１３日（月曜日）はブッタ誕生日の振替祝日＝香港。

午前中の試験が終わってから、午後、マカオに住んでいる友達の元へ。

(My second time to Macao)

二度目のマカオ。

(First time to travel there via H-Z-M* Bus!) - crossing the world's longest sea crossing bridge !

去年末に出来たばかりのHZM＊バスに乗って〜（世界一長い海を渡る橋！）

*Hong Kong- Zhuhai- Macao Bridge

Despite many controversies over the bridge, the travel was extremely convenient (fast and cheap: 40mins, 65 HKD).  

橋について様々な討論（環境、政治、人権問題など）がされているものの、

旅自体は大変便利でした（フェリーよりも安くて65HKD、早い40分）！

You can use the same currency (HKD) in Macao, so it enables people to go to Macao spontaneously!

何と言っても香港通過がマカオでも使えるんは便利だよね！いつでも気軽に行けちゃう

We took first took the local bus to the free shuttle bus area, 

and then to the Venetian Macao (there are many free shuttle buses to choose from)

まず、無料シャトルバス乗り場まで（バスに乗って）行って、

シャトルバスでヴェネチアンへ。（たくさん無料バスがあるから便利なものの、場所を聞きたくて英語で聞いたら、英語を話せる人がほとんどいなかったのは衝撃！笑）

you can not only enjoy Casino, shopping, food, (Gondora ride), 

but also find many replicas of famous European architecture within and outside of the building, 

such as the Armillary Square, the Rialto Bridge,  Eiffel tower at the Parisian and much more !!!

カジノやショッピング、グルメ、ゴンドラだけでなくて

ヨーロッパの建築をたくさん見られるのは面白い！

Also, this area is surrounded by so many luxurious hotels with unique designs. 

このエリアは高級ホテルが多い！独特なデザイン且つ大迫力！

I certainly didn't expect a free cable car ride and water fountain show at Whnn Palace. 

It was extraordinary and I actually felt like I was in a whole new world,

things were way too fancy ahaha

WHYY Palaceと言うホテル？は特に印象的！無料のケーブルカーに並ばずに乗りながら、噴水ショーを上から楽しむっていう。

本当に夢の世界にいるみたい。＜普通の感覚が鈍ってしまいそう、危ない笑

After that, we went on the bus to Rua do Cunha (Cunha Street), to eat delicious Portuguese egg tarts, and Macao buns (but this was already sold out around 5...! must go earlier next time)...!

そのあとは、バスに乗って（マカオの公共交通はバスに限る！らしい）クーニャ通りへ。

そこで美味しいボルトがるエッグタルトを食べたよ〜美味。香港のものとは比べ物にならない笑

マカオのパンも食べたかったけど、午後５時には売り切れで食べられなかった（残念）。

次またリベンジで行きたいな〜

From there, we took a short walk around Old Taipa Village (very Portuguese style houses> you can tell from the colours etc.: not too bright like the Chinese e.g. Red), and walked through flower city park to catch the bus near by (this place was much more peaceful, relaxed and down to earth, compared to the shiny lux casino area).

そこから、歩いてオールド・タイパ・ヴィレッジ（ポルトガルの住宅）や

花城公園を通って、バス停へ。

この辺りは生活感にあふれていて、落ち着いて、何だか安心した。

So our final destination was the 'Historic Centre of Macao': Senado Square, Ruins of St. Pauls etc.

In fact, this day was there was a event "Procession of Our lady Fatima", so encountered some religious rituals, which was quite intriguing.  

最後に向かったのは、マカオ歴史中心部：セナド広場・聖パウロ天主堂跡。

また、"Procession of Our lady Fatima"の宗教行列をたまたま目撃しました！

Then, we went for some Portuguese style dinner!

夕食はポルトガル風〜！

Night at the Ruins of St. Pauls was less crowded and the light up made it seem even more beautiful.

夜の聖パウロ天主堂跡はあまり混んでいなくて、ライトアップが綺麗でした。

より神聖に見えました！

Before heading back, we went in the Lisboa for some Casino experience (made extremely small bets) and went back home !!!

本当に帰る前に、リスボアに寄って本当にすこーしだけカジノを体験しました笑

In summary, it was such a surreal day in Macao.

Although it was half a day, we enjoyed it to the fullest, thanks to my friend living there who took us around!
I highly recommend going to Macao, if you're in Hong Kong also. 

Next time, or some day, I'd like to stay in one of those nice hotels ! hehehe

はー結局、めっちゃ長くなっちゃったけど、

言葉では説明し難いけど、現実と幻想が交差されるような、

（大変文化的且つ富豪の世界の両方が詰まった）

不思議で特別な日帰り旅でした〜

マカオを案内してくれたお友達に本当に感謝！

香港に行くなら、いるなら、マカオに行くのもやっぱりオススメ！

また次の時は、いつか、豪華なホテルに泊まりたいものです、、、
