The "Kamakura Matsuri 2017"

also known as the Kamakura Festival.

1. What is a Kamakura?

There are over 100s of these in the festival.

2. How is it made?

Kamakura professionals "Kamakura shokunin" make it.

They pile the snow (3m), firm it, and did the inside.

3. How do you enjoy?

Pray for the water god (for prosperity of water)

Eat snacks(mocha-rice cakes, tangerines etc.)

Drink Amazake (non-alcohol sweet sake)

and have small chats with the people* inside the dorm.

*I was inside the Kamakura welcoming guests inside.

All snacks and drinks, entering is free,

so you can just bring yourself and a camera

The night is cold, but inside the Kamakura is warm.

There the fire place, and the wind is all blocked.
